"Zen Sanctuary" Wood Tissue Box

The Zen Sanctuary

A tissue box, technically.

But that is not really what it feels like.

This handcrafted wooden piece turns an ordinary household object into something closer to interactive sculpture. A dark walnut-toned base is detailed with silver-tone elephant reliefs, while a wooden frame suspends rows of natural hollow seed pods above it.

Each time you reach for a tissue, the hanging pods shift and gently knock against one another, creating a soft wooden rustle.

The effect is subtle, almost ceremonial.

The elephants are traditionally associated with strength and good fortune, while the natural seed pods bring texture, movement, and sound into the piece. A green tassel with jade-like beads adds one final flash of color against the dark wood and silver detailing.

It is practical, yes.

But it is also exactly the sort of object that makes someone stop and ask where on earth you found it.
